Las Vegas is known as The Entertainment Capital of the World. It is home to many of the most popular hotels and gaming destinations in the world. Situated in Nevada, it is the most 28th most populated city in the United States. The network of shopping, gambling and entertainment establishments in Las Vegas has made it into one of the top resort cities in the US. Aside from entertainments, the city also has a growing retirement community and is fast becoming a family city.

Sin City, as it is known, was established in 1905, but did not become an official city until 1911. Since then, the city has grown and has become one of the most productive cities in the US. Las Vegas is perhaps most known for the outdoor light displays found on the Las Vegas strip and in other places in the city. The metropolitan area of Las Vegas is the brightest spot on earth as seen from space. The city has also served as the location for many American and international movies.

Casinos are the major attraction in Las Vegas and the most famous Hotel Casinos are located along the Las Vegas Strip. Some of the most notable casinos in the city are the Fermont Casino, the Golden Nugget, the Plaza Hotel & Casino and the Four Queens.
